Supports and maintains Workday HCM with emphasis on Payroll and Expenses.
Partners with Payroll, Finance, and cross‑functional stakeholders to ensure effective system performance.
Researches innovative idea solutions and connects in the Workday community for best practices.
Performs complex configuration to transform and optimize Workday processes for end user experience.
Leads discovery, design and customer confirmation and optimization sessions.
Observes manual and automated processes for opportunities to streamline and eliminate risk.
Works with the team to continuously improve solutions, processes, procedures, and documentation standards.
Ensures delivery of project deliverables and documentation.
Reviews recommendations to ensure scalable and maintainable processes.
Coaches clients during business process design, offering options, risks, and impacts related to decisions.
Configures the Workday system per client business requirements.
Demonstrates computational thinking and identifies problem components.
Provides alignment and collaboration with project leadership and communicates project risks and issues.
Ensures functional solutions are compatible with downstream data translation and assists integrators in configuring/testing integrations.
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience
Five years’ experience
Hands‑on Workday experience with strong focus on HCM, and demonstrated exposure to Payroll and Expenses modules
Approximately 5+ years of Workday experience, with the ability to contribute quickly and independently
Experience working across multiple Workday modules (beyond HCM) to support cross‑training and coverage within the team
Payroll experience is highly preferred due to a current business gap and close partnership with the Payroll team
Financials exposure is a strong plus but not required
Workday certifications are preferred but not required; practical experience is prioritized, with training available for certification if desired
Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively, share knowledge, and partner effectively with COEs and cross‑functional stakeholders
Comfortable working in a fully remote, team‑based environment with minimal siloed work.
