Role Overview
- Develop clear, thorough, and medically accurate narratives that synthesize clinical records, diagnostic evidence, and regulatory criteria
- Analyze medical documentation to identify qualifying conditions and support claim eligibility and approval
- Translate complex medical and technical information into accessible, patient-centered guidance
- Maintain consistency, accuracy, and compliance across all written materials
- Collaborate with internal teams and external stakeholders to ensure alignment on documentation standards and case strategy
- Foster patient engagement and trust through thoughtful, empathetic, and precise communication
- Contribute to continuous improvement efforts by refining documentation processes and best practices
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Healthcare Administration, Biology, Nursing, Epidemiology, Public Health or related field preferred.
- A minimum of 2 years of experience in a healthcare setting is required, preferably in coordinating and managing patient documentation, medical writing, medical terminology, or in a healthcare administration role.
- Familiarity with healthcare programs and benefits, particularly the Department of Energy Employees Occupational Illness Compensation (DEEOIC) program, is preferred.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and other relevant software is required.
