Advise product and engineering teams on new features, launches, and iterations across Houzz Pro, including subscriptions, lead generation, CRM tools, and marketing automation.
Provide legal guidance to teams on: consumer protection, advertising, disclosures, auto-renewal, AI, pricing, and feature gating.
Spot regulatory risk early and translate legal requirements into workable product and UX guidance.
Partner with stakeholders on data use, consent flows, and regional compliance considerations.
Escalate complex, novel, or high-risk issues to senior legal leadership as appropriate.
Draft, review, and negotiate commercial agreements supporting Houzz Pro and related business teams.
Help design scalable contract review and intake processes to support a commercial pipeline.
Act as a legal partner to Sales and Sales Ops for Houzz Pro.
Support Sales and Marketing teams on customer-facing terms, promos, pilot programs, and new monetization initiatives.
Advise on sales claims, marketing language, and competitive positioning to ensure accuracy and compliance.
Requirements
At least 5-7 years of relevant experience, including startup or other in-house experience, preferably at a technology company;
Experience advising on product launches, including subscription products, or fintech / payments
