Under the supervision of the Director of Career Services (DCS), the Business Solution Consultant (BSC) is responsible for development and management of employer relationships that will result in acceptable employment opportunities for students and graduates.
The BSC is responsible for procuring employer partnerships, Advisory Board Members, Externship Sites and uncovering Grass Roots activities for campus participation.
The BCS is also responsible for maintaining organized, detailed, accurate records regarding employer visits, job leads and job orders.
When requested, the BSC will assist in gathering Employment Verification Reports from employers so that graduate placements can be documented in CampusVue and verified.
The BSC must uphold the Ancora core values at all times.
Build and maintain sustainable and long-term relationships with local, regional and national employers to increase employment opportunities for all campus graduates.
Develop and maintain community involvement to support successful company branding within the physical footprint of their campus.
Attend weekly meetings with DCS and other members of the Career Services team to understand the weekly goals required to provide available graduates and upcoming graduates with employment opportunities.
Identify the optimal number of job leads and job orders for graduate placement through employer cold-calls, off-site employer meetings and prospecting.
Follow-up with employers after graduate interviews for feedback and hiring possibilities.
Document all employer meetings, job leads and job orders in CampusVue.
Work closely with Career Coaches to ensure opportunities are developed that are a match for available graduates and upcoming graduates.
Deliver Daily Activity Report (DAR) to the Director of Career Services daily.
Deliver Expense Report weekly for reimbursement.
Ability to prioritize and strategize for optimal outcomes.
Requirements
Associates Degree in business/sales related field, or minimum 2-years comparable work experience.
Excellent communication, interpersonal and presentation skills.
Solid ability to prioritize and multitask.
Excellent problem-solving skills and demonstrable creativity and be innovative in prospecting approach.
The ideal candidate must possess both the ability and the willingness to work independently and act on her/his independent judgment.
The candidate should be technically proficient in computer research and database management.
Demonstrate an understanding of building relationships, networking and community-based business development.
