Manage a portfolio of municipal client accounts encompassing BusPatrols stop arm enforcement programs at the community level business unit, considering BusPatrol’s business strategy, complex regulations and supervisory expectations, including how they apply in a municipal environment.
Lead program implementation efforts in partnership with city officials, law enforcement, and internal cross-functional teams across the Midwest.
Deepen stakeholder relationships with Chiefs of Police, Mayors, DOT leaders, Finance Directors, and Court Administrators throughout the Midwest.
Monitor political landscape for the specified region, maintain relationships with elected officials, and provide strategic input to regional business plans
Collaborate with internal departments (IT, Product, Operations, Marketing, Finance) to ensure seamless service delivery and solution alignment
Lead escalation response and resolution planning for client issues and high-impact service needs
Oversee and guide internal team members, providing leadership and accountability for individual and team goals
Support proposal development, sales presentations, and renewal negotiations through data analysis and strategic storytelling
Maintain communication cadence with key clients throughout the Midwest and internal teams to ensure program transparency and alignment
Contribute to revenue forecasting and annual operating planning
Requirements
4 years of experience in a Government and Industry Relations (GIR) role, and/or experience as a state level legislative staff member and/or in a relevant discipline with a proven track record leading comparable operations and programs is required.
2 years of political support experience at the state or large municipality level is required, experience with transportation, safety, technology/security is preferred.
Strong interpersonal skills, including the ability to understand diverging points of view within the community and quickly build consensus on strategy; to foster collaborative decision making and ensure success.
Persuasive communication skills and the ability to translate complex concepts and programs into concise and credible messages at the highest levels of government and business, down to community stakeholders, with a proven track record of delivering high-quality work.
Strong skills in building and maintaining relationships with government officials, policymakers, industry associations, and other stakeholders.
Ability to advocate for the company’s interests and negotiate effectively on policy issues.
A strong alignment with BusPatrol’s vision of student safety.
An existing network within government and related industry circles is preferred
Proven planning and analytical skills to evaluate complex situations and recommend effective solutions and next steps.
