Role Overview
What You’ll Do
As a Commercial Managing Director at HB Capital, you will focus exclusively on commercial real estate debt placement, working with sponsors nationwide. You will:
- Originate and place CRE debt transactions generally ranging from $2M to $200M+
- Structure and place financing across agency, bank, credit union, bridge, debt fund, CMBS, and private lenders
- Advise sponsors on loan structure, proceeds, pricing, and execution strategy
- Run deals from mandate through closing, partnering with analysts and transaction managers
- Leverage HB Capital’s technology to underwrite, source lenders, and streamline execution
- Build and deepen long-term relationships with borrowers and lenders
- Operate with autonomy while supported by a platform built to help you scale

Requirements
Who We’re Looking For:
- 3–15+ years of experience as a commercial mortgage broker or CRE loan originator
- Understand loan structures, credit, and lender appetite across asset classes
- Are confident speaking with sponsors, operators, and lenders
- Have existing borrower relationships or strong origination instincts
- Are self-directed, accountable, and comfortable in an entrepreneurial environment
- Value integrity, long-term relationships, and execution excellence
