Responsible for developing/creating and maintaining Air Methods documentation (policy manuals, processes and procedures manuals, forms, bulletins, etc.) while adhering to all AMC policies and appropriate regulatory bodies in the Corporate Publications Department.
Collaborate with departmental subject matter experts to organize content, develop manuals and procedures, and revise existing content for Air Methods publications
Conduct cross-department reviews to determine down-line effects and obtain internal and regulatory compliance approvals
Create documentation/processes from an end user perspective
Follow document control procedures and corporate style guide
Ensure distribution from OEM’s, STC holders and other document owners
Receive OEM Maintenance Documents into AMMIS and distribute to applicable groups
Other duties as assigned
Requirements
Associate’s degree (AS/AA) in Journalism or Technical Communications from two-year college or university or one to three years’ related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
Knowledge of Federal Aviation Regulations
Knowledge of MS SharePoint 2010/2013
Knowledge in FrameMaker preferred
Ability to multi-task efficiently, work in a fast paced environment on multiple projects, has a strong attention for detail, and can meet deadlines
Ability to recognize and adapt to changing requirements, schedule changes, and other challenges that might affect a project
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Experience in all aspects of planning, designing, implementing, testing and delivering a documentation project
Experience with Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook
Experience with Adobe Technical Communications Suite including FrameMaker
Experience with Adobe Illustrator, Microsoft Visio, or related tool
