Role Overview
- The accountant will be primarily responsible for the detailed review of wholesale power transactions under tight deadlines.
- Responsible for billing and ensuring timely payment according to contract terms.
- Performing moderately complex accounting and analysis, preparing journal entries and reconciliations and other tasks to ensure the accuracy and completeness of financial records.
- Ensure SOX procedures and controls are being complied with and working according to documentation.
- Ensuring customer satisfaction and continual improvement of processes are expected.
- Upholds the safety compliance standards inherent in PSE’s operating and/or field procedures related to work responsibilities.
- Promotes and supports a culture of total safety.
Requirements
- BA/BS in Business, Finance, or Accounting or equivalent combination of education and/or experience
- 2+ years of directly relevant accounting experience
- Good understanding of GAAP and technical application
- Good ability to effectively analyze and report on financial information
- Strong verbal and written skills
- Strong PC skills (including Excel, Word, Access)
