The accountant will be primarily responsible for the detailed review of wholesale power transactions under tight deadlines.
Responsible for billing and ensuring timely payment according to contract terms.
Performing moderately complex accounting and analysis, preparing journal entries and reconciliations and other tasks to ensure the accuracy and completeness of financial records.
Ensure SOX procedures and controls are being complied with and working according to documentation.
Ensuring customer satisfaction and continual improvement of processes are expected.
Upholds the safety compliance standards inherent in PSE’s operating and/or field procedures related to work responsibilities.
Promotes and supports a culture of total safety.
Requirements
BA/BS in Business, Finance, or Accounting or equivalent combination of education and/or experience
2+ years of directly relevant accounting experience
Good understanding of GAAP and technical application
Good ability to effectively analyze and report on financial information
Strong verbal and written skills
Strong PC skills (including Excel, Word, Access)
