Role Overview
- Perform moderately complex accounting, analysis and/or billing functions.
- Prepare moderately complex journal entries in accordance with GAAP and company policies.
- Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
- Analyze variances and provide explanations for unusual or unexpected results.
- Support process improvements and automation initiatives.
- Evaluate and implement changes related to regulatory and GAAP compliance.
- Participate in the maintenance of the general ledger and/or other automated systems and databases.
- Prepare internal, external, and regulatory financial reports.
- Respond to requests received from management and other departments.
- Participate on special projects/research within the department.
- Comply with internal controls and actively update and test SOX 404 procedures.
Requirements
- BA/BS in Business, Finance, or Accounting or equivalent combination of education and/or experience
- 2+ years of directly relevant accounting experience
- Good understanding of GAAP and technical application
- Good ability to effectively analyze and report on financial information
- Strong verbal and written skills
- Strong PC skills (including Excel, Word, Access)
