Strive to exceed IDEXX Water product sales targets through regular sales visits to customers performing microbiological testing of drinking, raw, bottled, and other water sources.
Collaborate and conduct joint sales with other IDEXX sales professionals in the region to close sales of equipment and capital technologies.
Travel regularly to meet customers and communicate the value of IDEXX products.
Drive annual business growth by acquiring new customers and expanding existing accounts.
Demonstrate a proven track record of closing sales and meeting quarterly sales targets.
Schedule prospecting calls, presentations, and training sessions.
Collaborate with and leverage support from internal sales partners.
Other duties as assigned.
Requirements
More than 5 years of field sales experience with a proven track record selling consumables and equipment.
Previous experience working with prioritized enterprise accounts.
Ability to prioritize activities and work in the field with limited supervision.
Ability to perform under pressure and meet quarterly targets.
Ability to sell based on product value rather than price.
Ability to understand products and/or technical issues.
Excel at building relationships with a diverse group of end users in public and private laboratories, wastewater treatment, and large industrial customers.
Strong experience in sales analysis and forecasting.
Experience handling objections and closing accounts.
Clear and concise communicator.
Must be self-directed, motivated, and extremely well organized.
Demonstrated aptitude for teamwork.
Candidate must reside in Canada, preferably in the Toronto, Ottawa, or Montreal area.
