About this role
Role Overview
Maintain and increase Shaw’s profitability and market share in a geographical area.
Develop good relationships with customers based on knowledge, service, trust, and integrity.
Implement major market programs and services and sample placement.
Daily sales calls on existing customers with emphasis on hard surface flooring products, samples, displays, adhesive, and related products.
Present products to retail dealers, designers, and end-users.
Analyze all leads provided by corporate reports.
Sell and construct display racks weighing 50lbs or more on a regular basis.
Continually prospect for viable new accounts and develop keen awareness of designated geographic areas.
Prepare reports of business transactions and sales volume.
Communicate periodic sales reports outlining actual sales information and goals, competitive market conditions, and product needs.
Analyze sales statistics by reviewing computer reports to formulate goals and assist dealers in promoting sales.
Control travel and entertainment expenditures as well as sample budget to conform to budgetary requirements.
Enter all customer interactions and key information into Salesforce.com.
Sell and promote residential products including Shaw Floors, A/T, and Philly Commercial while educating customers on these products.
Requirements
A High School Diploma/GED required.
Previous sales experience required.
Ability to interface with a diverse group of customers in a friendly and respectful manner.
Must have the ability to use a laptop computer and basic Microsoft Windows software including MS Office.
Physically able to assemble and take down display fixtures.
Must travel in a vehicle that can carry product sample boards such as a van or approved SUV.
Ability to lift more than 50lbs on a regular basis.
Must reside within the territory.
