Role Overview
Build Infrastructure That Never Fails: Design and implement highly-available, fault-tolerant backend services.
Scale Real-Time Communication Systems: Own the backend infrastructure that handles video routing, session management.
Enable Frontend Teams Through Platform Excellence: Build the APIs and services that frontend engineers depend on.
Deliver Operational Excellence and Observability: Instrument what matters, establish SLOs, and surface problems.
Contribute to a Purpose-Driven, User-Centered Culture: Advocate for reliability in technical discussions.
Requirements
Proven Backend Engineering Skills: 10+ years building, deploying, and operating backend services in production.
Real-Time Media Processing Expertise: Hands-on experience with GStreamer (required), SIP/RTP, and WebRTC.
Expertise in Highly-Available Systems: Deep understanding of distributed systems, fault tolerance patterns, and reliability engineering.
Detail-Oriented and Data-Driven: You instrument your systems, use metrics and logs to diagnose issues systematically.
Startup Adaptability: Thrive in ambiguous environments, build with incomplete requirements.
