Manage the approval of all permit applications for the Special Utilities Program
Work with internal and external agencies to manage and coordinate activity within Special Utilities Programs
Promotes teamwork and integration within the section
Develop and deliver quality services in a timely and cost-effective manner
Evaluate and report on the Special Utilities Program including financial, permit stage status, customer inquiries, and staff performance against benchmarks
Design and implement strategies to improve effectiveness and efficiency
Ensure service quality, cost-effective and timely service delivery and legislative compliance
Requirements
Proven knowledge of ROW management theories, practices and trends related to Utility infrastructure
Previous knowledge and experience related to management of utility, water and wastewater infrastructure
Extensive knowledge of utility and water/wastewater infrastructure systems
Knowledge and experience in development and implementation of subsurface infrastructure programs
Demonstrated experience related to project management of infrastructure programs, preferably in a municipal environment
Strong working knowledge of CAD systems and Microsoft products such as Access, Word
Knowledge and/or experience with ESRI/GIS, Hansen applications would be an asset
Ability to mentor subordinate staff
Highly effective leadership, facilitation, communication, presentation, interpersonal and organizational skills
