Account Management: Build and maintain strong, long-term relationships with key decision-makers (buyers, category managers, senior leadership) within assigned national accounts.
Sales Strategy & Execution: Develop and execute comprehensive account strategies and sales plans to meet and exceed revenue and profitability targets.
Market Penetration: Identify and capitalize on new product opportunities, seasonal programs, and promotional events within the industrial, automotive, and retail distribution channels.
Product Expertise: Conduct on-site solution assessments and product demonstrations, clearly emphasizing the value and technical features of Portacool products.
Cross-Functional Collaboration: Coordinate with internal teams (marketing, operations, supply chain, finance) to ensure alignment, resolve issues, and ensure high levels of customer satisfaction.
Market Analysis & Reporting: Monitor the competitive landscape and market trends, provide sales forecasts, analyze performance data, and prepare reports for management.
Negotiation & Pricing: Lead regional pricing negotiations and manage pricing programs according to established company policies.
Requirements
Targeted Sales Experience: Minimum of 5–7 years of successful experience in national account management or strategic sales.
Industry Knowledge: Proven track record selling into the industrial, automotive, and retail distribution channels.
Proven Results: Demonstrated ability to exceed revenue targets, manage large-scale account portfolios, and navigate complex, multi-year sales plans.
Degree: Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Engineering, or a related technical field is required. An MBA is a plus for senior leadership consideration.
Bilingual Proficiency: Must be fluent in Spanish and English to manage accounts across Mexico and Central America effectively.
Product Mastery: Ability to perform on-site technical solution assessments and physical product demonstrations.
Software Proficiency: Advanced skills in Microsoft Office (especially Excel for data analysis and PowerPoint for pitches) and extensive experience with CRM systems (e.g., Salesforce).
Analytical Aptitude: Strong capability in sales forecasting, market condition monitoring, and data-driven decision-making.
Location: Must currently reside in or be willing to relocate to Monterrey, Mexico.
Extensive Travel: Ability and willingness to travel 50% or more into all parts of Central America and Mexico, typically requiring 3–4 days of travel per week.
Physical Capability: Ability to lift up to 50 lbs to transport and set up portable cooling units for demonstrations.
Documentation: Possession of a valid driver’s license and necessary travel documents (e.g., valid passport/visa) for international travel within LATAM and US.
