Role Overview
- Under general direction, perform a variety of job responsibilities including blending of fertilizer and production of fire retardant
- Loading and unloading trucks and railcars
- Pump maintenance and electric motor maintenance
- Performing warehouse inventory and storage functions
- Operating equipment to blend fertilizer
- Monitoring liquid fertilizer production
- Ensuring the proper loading and operations of vehicles in compliance with regulations
- Complying with all company and customer safety requirements
- Assisting with special projects and attending training sessions
Requirements
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
- 1+ years related experience and/or training
- Pump or electric motor maintenance is preferred
- Welding experience or certifications are a plus
- Knowledge of fertilizer barns or grain elevator operation machinery is a plus
- Ability to effectively and safely operate heavy equipment such as a loader, forklift and semi-truck
- Ability to do a variety of tasks in succession
- Ability to perform basic math
- Ability to use a computer, including Microsoft Office Suite and Outlook – or mobile app
- Ability to effectively communicate both orally and in writing with management, other team members, and customers.
