Manage full Malaysia corporate, tax, and statutory compliance, including preparing tax computations, coordinating income tax returns with tax agents, handling SST filings, maintaining transfer pricing documentation, supporting audits, overseeing e‑invoicing requirements, and ensuring compliance with all statutory, regulatory, and company‑secretarial obligations.
Monitor Malaysian tax legislation changes, assess business impact, and maintain adherence to internal tax governance, documentation standards, and tax provisioning/reconciliation requirements.
Provide operational finance support such as petty cash administration, credit‑card facility management, business licence applications, fixed‑asset register maintenance, and ensuring accounting records are accurate, complete, and properly reported.
Support ANZ regional tax compliance activities under the Head of Tax, including preparation and review of corporate income tax returns, tax calculations, workpapers, deferred tax schedules, and tax provisioning.
Assist with GST and other indirect tax compliance requirements for ANZ, including reconciliations and submission support.
Contribute to cross‑border reporting by gathering data from finance teams, coordinating with external advisors, and supporting group reporting across the ANZ and APAC regions.
Support regional transfer pricing documentation and assist with APAC tax authority queries, reviews, and audits.
Drive improvements and standardisation of regional tax processes across ANZ and wider APAC operations.
Requirements
4+ years of hands‑on experience in Malaysian corporate finance, corporate tax, compliance, and advisory, with exposure to international tax compliance gained in public practice and/or in‑house roles.
Prior experience supporting Australian tax compliance is a strong advantage.
Proven ability to collaborate effectively with stakeholders across multiple countries and time zones.
Strong organisational capability with the capacity to manage multiple deadlines concurrently.
High attention to detail combined with a practical, solutions‑oriented approach to problem‑solving.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
Tertiary qualification in Accounting, Finance, Taxation, or a related discipline (or equivalent practical experience).
Professional qualifications such as CA, CPA, CTA (completed or in progress) are highly regarded.
