Role Overview
- Managing the Bureau of Project Implementation’s Materials Section
- Ensuring appropriate utilization and quality of materials used in construction and maintenance of highway facilities
- Providing expertise and guidance in geotechnical and pavement studies
- Planning, organizing, directing, and controlling district Materials Section activities
- Assigning, training, motivating, directing and evaluating subordinate personnel
- Ensuring compliance with safety procedures
Requirements
- Current registration as a Licensed Professional Engineer in the state of Illinois
- Eight years of experience in civil engineering
- Three years supervising staff and managing engineering functions
