Play a key role in shaping and delivering strategic communications
Contribute to the council’s overall communications strategy and annual communications plan
Act as a gatekeeper for our digital platforms
Lead development, improvement and innovation while ensuring accessibility, usability and best practice are embedded throughout.
Requirements
Experienced digital communications professional with a strong track record of developing, delivering and evaluating digital engagement work
Ideally within a complex or public‑sector environment
Understand how to use digital channels to support organisational change and improve user experience
Confident leading projects, managing contracts and working with stakeholders at all levels, including senior leaders
Translate technical or complex information into clear, accessible communications
Champion best practice in online writing, accessibility, user experience and emerging digital trends
Educated to degree level or with equivalent professional experience.
