About this role

Independent review and implementation of rule set changes in firewall operations
Responsibility for the stable operation of firewall systems
Development and establishment of processes, standards and working methods as part of the new firewall team
Operation and securing of the Germany-wide cooperation model
Analysis of connectivity issues and close collaboration with operations and architecture teams
Maintenance of rule sets to ensure security and transparency

Several years of professional experience administering firewall systems and in network security
Practical experience with next‑generation firewalls and centralized management systems
Proficiency in TCP/IP, dynamic routing, VPN and NAT
IT training, a degree in computer science, or an equivalent qualification with a focus on IT security
Excellent German skills (at least C1) and good English skills, both written and spoken
Security screening under SÜG/SÜFV required
Certifications such as CCNP Security or CISSP are desirable
