Role Overview
Leading complex projects from start to finish, ensuring they are completed on time, within budget, and to high quality standards.
Define project scope, goals, and deliverables, then create and maintain comprehensive project plans, schedules, and budgets. Lead the execution of the project through all phases.
Lead, motivate, and manage project teams, including allocating tasks and responsibilities. Manage all project resources, such as personnel and budget, to optimize performance.
Serve as the main point of contact for stakeholders, including clients and senior leadership. Provide regular progress reports, manage expectations, and ensure project goals are clear to all parties.
Establish and maintain quality standards for project deliverables. Perform quality checks to ensure compliance with best practices and organizational guidelines.
Ensure the project's goals and outcomes support the organization's strategic objectives.
Develop overall project timelines and key milestones; ensure teams meet critical dates leveraging Project Management software
Sets direction and communicates a clear vision of the projects and motivates the project team to achieve them.
Creating a project environment that enables peak performance by team members: open disclosure of issues, alignment of project goals, coaching to clarify deliverables, escalation procedures, etc.
Ensuring a strong relationship with the business owner and key stakeholders of the project.
Ensures that the project is aligned with customer expectations and facilitates project steerco meetings for project decision making and highlighting key updates to the main stakeholders.
Act as the intermediary between the technical team and non technical stakeholders, including customers and management, to keep everyone informed.
Facilitate decision-making, arbitrate impasses, remove barriers and ultimately drive projects to completion
Work with team to identify and execute cost savings opportunities
Coordinates with relevant stakeholders to ensure that appropriate timing, resources, and sequencing of the work efforts are aligned to produce the desired result according to the project schedule.
Ensure project risks are managed and communicate risks and implications to management as appropriate
Work with team to identify and execute cost savings opportunities
Organize project activities into manageable work efforts for team members and determine an effective approach to completing the work, as outlined in the project plan
Proactively identify and manage risks, issues, cross-project dependencies, and report on project status within the published schedule
Conduct post-project evaluations (lessons learned) and implement process improvements based on project outcomes.
Mentor and train junior project managers and teams.
Requirements
Bachelor in IT or relevant
Project Management Institute (PMI), Certified Scrum Master (CSM) or other IT industry project management certification is required.
Overall 10+ years’ experience in similar skill set
Excellent communication skills (oral & written)
Bilingual Preferred
Excellent Project Management experience
Experience in managing complex projects including vendor management preferred.
