QC Microbiology Manager

Role Overview

• The QC Microbiology Manager is responsible for the strategic leadership and management of microbiological activities in Dessau.
• Responsible for the day-to-day management of microbiological activities and ensuring QC operations comply with company standards.
• Lead the microbiology department to establish a QC laboratory.
• Develop, improve and maintain microbiological testing methods.
• Identify opportunities and initiatives for operational excellence in microbiological testing procedures.
• Lead product testing, environmental monitoring and water testing as required.

Requirements

• BS/BA in a scientific discipline or related field
• B.S. degree in Microbiology
• GLP/GMP experience required
• Minimum of 5 years' experience in a pharmaceutical or medical device laboratory
• Proven experience managing a microbiology laboratory in the pharmaceutical or related industry
• In-depth knowledge of microbiology
• Experience applying various microbiological techniques for product testing and environmental monitoring
• Strong technical proficiency in a GMP environment
• Strong knowledge of quality systems and regulatory requirements
• Fluent English, both written and spoken
• Proficiency with MS Office products (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint)
• Experience with word processing, spreadsheets, databases and statistical analysis.
