About this role
Role Overview
Develop and maintain strong, long-term relationships with existing clients.
Understand client needs and offer tailored solutions from our product portfolio.
Provide excellent customer service and support to ensure customer satisfaction and loyalty.
Monitor market trends and competitor activities to identify opportunities for account growth.
Actively seek out new clients and business opportunities within the food and beverage sector.
Conduct research to identify and engage potential customers, including cold calling, networking, and attending industry events.
Present and promote our food ingredients portfolio to potential clients through meetings, presentations, and product demonstrations.
Prepare sales proposals, negotiate contracts, and close new business deals.
Develop and execute a strategic sales plan to achieve sales targets and expand the company's client base.
Track and report on sales activities, pipeline, and results to management.
Collaborate with internal teams (e.g., Product Development, Marketing, and Customer Service) to ensure clients' needs are met effectively.
Provide market feedback and insights to support the development of new products or services.
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Food Science, or a related field.
Proven experience as an Account Manager, Sales Representative, or similar role within the food ingredients, food manufacturing, or related industry.
Strong understanding of the food ingredients market and industry trends.
Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
Ability to build and maintain relationships with clients and internal teams.
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple accounts and projects simultaneously.
Knowledge of food regulations, industry standards, and food product development processes.
Results-driven and proactive approach with a demonstrated ability to meet and exceed sales targets.
Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to address and resolve client issues promptly and effectively.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and CRM software.
Ability to travel as required to meet with clients, attend trade shows, and visit manufacturing sites.
