Oversee and participate in day-to-day accounting functions including accounts payable, accounts receivable, journal entries, and general ledger maintenance.
Own the month-end close process, including account reconciliations, accruals, and financial statement preparation, ensuring accuracy and compliance with accounting standards (GAAP/IFRS).
Ensure timely and accurate financial reporting to support internal decision-making and leadership oversight.
Maintain and continuously strengthen internal controls, accounting policies, and procedures in alignment with GAAP.
Serve as a key point of contact for external auditors and lead audit preparation and follow-ups.
Ensure accounting practices remain compliant with applicable regulatory and financial reporting requirements.
Evaluate current accounting processes and systems to identify and implement improvements.
Drive automation and scalability to support a growing company environment.
Collaborate with internal stakeholders including Operations, Lending, Executive teams, Asset Servicing, HR, Legal, Finance Consultants, External Auditors, and the Leadership Team to ensure financial integrity and alignment.
Provide support and oversight to junior accounting team members and contribute to their development.
Requirements
CPA required
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
Minimum of 5+ years of experience in accounting, with at least 3 years in a similar capacity.
Experience with QuickBooks or similar accounting software.
Experience working in banking, lending, or financial institutions preferred.
