Take responsibility for costs, deadlines and quality in defined procurement areas and commodity groups
Monitor and analyze developments in your procurement markets and derive suitable commodity group strategies — including well-founded recommendations and decision-making basis together with the relevant stakeholders
Identify cost-saving potentials and further develop processes and standards
Actively contribute to projects — for example in value-engineering processes, value analyses or as sub-project lead for new products
Negotiate contracts and terms and maintain existing supplier relationships
Select appropriate sources of supply and suppliers, conduct tenders and perform evaluations together with Quality Management
Own procurement planning and help shape relevant reporting processes
Actively shape supplier management and participate in resolving defects — in close cooperation with Quality Management and suppliers
Make decisions, when necessary, on asserting or pursuing compensation claims
Requirements
A completed technical or business degree, or comparable qualifications with several years of professional experience in purchasing technical products or components
Good technical understanding
Relevant knowledge in supplier, project, quality and commodity group management, as well as in contract management and procurement logistics
Good knowledge of common MS Office applications
Experience using ERP systems
Ideally, good knowledge of English
Strong negotiation skills, initiative and assertiveness
Willingness to travel nationally and internationally
