Interact with stakeholders with varying levels of technical fluency to gather requirements, understand business objectives and translate them into clear analytical and data needs
Design and build scalable data pipelines using modern data platforms such as Databricks to support a wide array of ad-hoc analytics and reporting needs
Develop optimized SQL queries against large-scale Nielsen feeds, including AMRLD, NRLD and MIT, to solve business problems and enable actionable insights
Translate complex business logic into efficient ETL pipelines tailored for big‑data environments
Serve as an SME for the Nielsen ecosystem and contribute to advancing EXL’s audience measurement capabilities
Requirements
4+ years of analytics or data engineering experience solving complex business problems
Advanced proficiency in SQL and Python/PySpark for hands‑on data manipulation, pipeline development, and big‑data processing
2+ years of hands‑on experience working with Nielsen data products and big‑data feeds (e.g., AMRLD, NRLD, MIT, NNTV, NPOWER) creating data products for audience measurement
Functional understanding of Nielsen measurement methodologies
Ability to translate ambiguous business problems into structured analytical problems
Excellent communication skills to gather requirements and communicate methodology, data nuances and findings to both technical and non‑technical audiences
Strong business acumen & demonstrated aptitude to generate analytics that drive action
Good to Have:
Consulting experience advising Media & Entertainment clients
Experience with: Cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, GCP, Databricks, Snowflake
CI/CD pipelines
