Serve as the primary HR Business Partner for the Hamburg site, providing guidance on employee relations, performance management, engagement, and organizational effectiveness.
Build and maintain strong, collaborative relationships with the Works Council, ensuring compliance with German labor law and co-determination requirements.
Coach and advise managers on performance feedback, disciplinary actions, conflict resolution, and change management.
Lead employee relations matters including investigations, grievances, and corrective actions.
Champion onboarding, employee engagement, and culture-building initiatives at the site level.
Support performance management processes including goal setting, reviews, and development planning.
Partner with Talent Acquisition on hiring needs and interview processes; support candidate experience as needed.
Coordinate HR actions with payroll and shared services partners, ensuring accurate documentation and compliance.
Ensure compliance with local labor laws, internal policies, and record-keeping requirements.
Requirements
7+ years of progressive HR experience with a strong emphasis on HR business partnering and employee relations.
Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Psychology, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
Experience working within the framework of German labor law and with Works Council environments.
Strong interpersonal, communication, and relationship-building skills.
Ability to consult respectfully at eye level, including on difficult or sensitive topics.
Intercultural competency and openness, especially in international collaboration.
High level of service orientation, a structured approach to work, and a hands‑on mentality.
Familiarity with BEM procedures, working-time models, and part-time arrangements.
Very good German and good English skills — written and spoken.
