Study and implement federal security regulations that apply to company operations
Obtain rulings, interpretations, and acceptable deviations for compliance with regulations from government agencies
Prepare manuals outlining regulations, establish procedures for handling, storing, and maintaining records, and grants personnel and visitors access to restricted documents and materials
Develop and implement security education program
Oversee internal security audits
Investigate security violations and prepares reports specifying preventive action to be taken
Provide direction to security team members to assist with executing their statement of work
Assist with team members' professional development and growth
Lead a team of security professionals to consistently apply the leadership characteristics expected of all employees within the organization
Ensure employee engagement across the team
Collaborate across teams within the organization
Provide leadership, guidance, and professional development/mentoring to professionals at all levels
Develop and implement security policy and standards across the program
Ensure all program performance objectives, as well as key milestones and deliverables, are met
Manage program security compliance and operations across multiple functions
PHYSEC, COMSEC, PERSEC, Contract Security, Investigations and Document Control Management
Other duties as assigned
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree with 8 years of professional experience including people management experience – OR – Master’s degree with 6 years of professional experience including people management experience
Will consider an additional four years of experience in lieu of a degree
Requires an active U.S. Government DoD Top-Secret security clearance at time of application, current and within scope, with an ability to obtain and maintain Special Access Program (SAP) approval within a reasonable period of time
Minimum of two years of management, supervisor, or other demonstrated leadership experience
Must have in-depth knowledge with the CFR 32 part 117 (NISPOM); Joint Air Force, Army and Navy (JAFAN), Intelligence Community Directives (ICD); DoD Manuals, and other related security requirements
Excellent communication, time management, and organizational skills.
Enabling effective communication with team members, fellow employees, and government officials
Strong interpersonal and leadership skills with the ability to interact with internal/external customers
Ability to recognize opportunities and take independent action to resolve challenges
Ability to collaborate effectively with security peers and program management team members and work on a team with minimal oversight
Ability to effectively engage with team members on task completion.
