Role Overview

• Leading a team of Civil / Structural Engineering professionals in Structural Assessment of Bridges
• Representing TfL Engineering as Technical Authority
• Overseeing assessment of diverse and ageing asset portfolio
• Ensuring compliance with legislation and assurance requirements
• Accountability for assessment decisions and risk management
• Setting technical direction for assessment methodologies
• Leading technical assurance activities on projects
• Managing workload, resources, and team capabilities

Requirements

• Chartered engineer with the UK Engineering Council or equivalent competencies
• Expert knowledge in leading and delivering complex structural assessments of bridges and railway structures
• Building and leading high-performing technical teams in regulated environments
• Providing technical leadership on major structural projects
• Technical assurance of multidisciplinary engineering work
• Legislation, technical standards, safety, environmental and sustainability considerations
