The Huntington Ventures Director Sr. plays a critical role leading the strategic partnership efforts across the enterprise.
Drive the enterprise-wide strategy for partnerships and lead the identification, evaluation, and execution of partnerships.
Partner with CFO, ELT and business unit leadership on all aspects of strategic partnerships.
Develop the strategy for strategic partnerships, incorporating business unit priorities and enterprise strategy, and drive ongoing prioritization of initiatives.
Engage with VCs, venture studios, and other partners to source partnerships, conduct startup showcases, and engage with the broader ecosystem.
Actively monitor the fintech and partnerships landscape to identify emerging trends, business models, innovations, and disruptions; drive the insights into the organization.
Support our work on multiple initiatives and provide thought leadership on large complex business initiatives.
Hire, inspire and lead the Strategic Partnerships team.
Maintain Huntington’s strong risk culture through early identification, communication and proactive management and mitigation of financial risks.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements
10+ Years of business experience in strategic partnerships, corporate development, venture, and/or strategy, ideally in financial services
10+ Years of team leadership experience
Master's degree in relevant field (preferred)
Ability to effectively work in a matrixed organization with colleagues across various reporting structures
Excellent influencing, consulting and communication (both oral and written) skills
Ability to independently manage multiple work efforts, including driving to execution, through key stakeholders across the bank
Ability to communicate with all levels of management
Problem Solving and Critical thinking, with the ability to identify root cause and proper solution
Bachelor's degree in business, strategy, finance, economics, marketing or related field (preferred)
Proven track record of implementing strategic partnerships ideally between startups and large enterprises
Strong relationships with top VC firms, venture studious, and incubators
Established reputation in the startup community
Joint venture and business development a strong plus
