About this role
Role Overview
Lead strategic sourcing and supply chain initiatives throughout the organization.
Develop and execute sourcing strategies to ensure continuous and stable supply of indirect materials (MRO), services, and equipment.
Analyze spend data, market trends, and supplier capabilities to identify savings opportunities and mitigate risks.
Partner with internal departments (e.g., Operations, IT, HR, Marketing, Finance) to understand business requirements, align sourcing priorities, and drive strategic initiatives.
Negotiate with suppliers for lower pricing, better payment terms, delivery, yearly rebates, capacity reservation, etc.
Monitor and review the price, delivery and quality of MRO materials and services to maintain a dependable and high-performing supplier base.
Report on key metrics of the area (KPI’s)
Design and implement sourcing strategies to attain year-over-year cost reductions, material quality/delivery improvements, and inventory reduction targets using appropriate supply chain tools.
Own the supplier relationship for major suppliers.
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree or a minimum of five years of relevant experience
Bachelor’s Degree in Operations Management, Engineering or Supply Chain preferred
APICS certification, CPMS certification, Six-Sigma experience, and quality experience preferred
Strong understanding of MRP systems, SAP preferred.
Excellent team player with strong people skills; able to build relationships at all levels of the organization, work collaboratively, and be an agent of change.
Effective communication skills, including verbal (logical and organized), written, listening and presentation.
Ability to multi-task
efficiently prioritize and manage multiple on-going projects.
