The Assistant Warehouse Manager is responsible for ensuring business objectives are met or exceeded for safety, quality, accuracy, service, productivity, cost, and efficient storage/shipping/receiving/handling of finished goods while motivating, coaching and developing subordinate staff in the day-to-day performance of their jobs.
Work closely with the Warehouse Manager and coordinate the operations and production teams through regularly scheduled meetings, conducting performance reviews, and effectively resolving performance issues.
Improve performance through implementation of process improvement initiatives based on industry best practices.
Utilize and work efficiently within a WMS environment to track and analyze processes and performance while overseeing receiving and stowing, picking and packing, shipping, inventory management, and documentation.
Optimize efficient layouts, workflows, and utilization of warehouse space.
Collaborate with other cross-functional departments, such as procurement, logistics, and quality control, to ensure that distribution operations align with the overall goals of the company.
Develop metrics for measurement of team performance.

Requirements
4 to 6 years of Management experience in Warehouse or a related capacity.
Exceptional customer service skills and effective communication both verbal and written.
Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
Moderate to advanced computer proficiency leveraging software applications such as: Excel; Word; PowerPoint; NetSuite WMS.
Physical Requirements: WH
This position may require the ability to perform tasks that involve sitting, standing, walking, lifting 100+ lbs, bending, stooping, computer work, and other physical activities.
