The Sourcing Specialist, Components and Materials is responsible for planning and driving negotiations, projects and initiatives to reduce total cost of ownership across multiple components and materials categories within manufacturing environments.
Work in close collaboration with multiple cross functional teams at Viking.
Develop and strengthen business partnerships with Suppliers.
Lead projects and initiatives supporting efficiency, optimization and savings across multiple components and materials categories such as electrical, mechanical, gas-systems and aesthetical categories.
Manage assigned supply base, driving continuous cost and quality improvements, including negotiation of favorable pricing, terms and conditions.
Design and implement best practices to improve business performance, reduce waste, and strength supply chain reliability.
Leverage data analytics and fact-base decision making to map and drive cost reduction opportunities.
Lead sourcing events (RFI’s, RFQs, RFPs) enabling total landed cost reduction opportunities.
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, engineering, finance or a related field.
2+ years of experience in sourcing, procurement, materials or supply chain roles.
Experience in international trade is a plus.
Cross functional leadership.
Knowledge of MS Excel, MRP/ERP systems and inventory management best practices.
Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and decision-making skills.
