Receiving, reviewing, and evaluating project requests and planning general activities for project completion
Analyzing customer technical requirements and provides recommendations to satisfy their needs
Researching and interpreting industry standards and technical information and applying knowledge to satisfy product design inputs
Designing or developing work as planned, performs simulation tests and analysis, selects materials, and generates product specifications
Participating in cross-functional teams to ensure completion of all tasks associated with project requirements
Requesting, performing analysis, and evaluating laboratory tests
Conducting engineering investigations, summarizing findings, preparing & distributing appropriate solutions
Initiating drawings orders, engineering changes, sample & prototype requests, purchase requisitions, and other necessary paperwork
Reporting the status and progress of projects and performing additional duties to complete projects and assignments
Interacting with other departmental groups to complete project tasks
Attending trade shows, supplier visits, seminars, industry standard meetings, and conferences as required to support sales and project needs

Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering and/or Computer Science or equivalent technical degree or advanced degree
Minimum of 1-3 years relevant experience
Must possess strong troubleshooting and diagnostic skills
Strong analytical skills and strong verbal and written communication skills
Desired demonstrated knowledge in the interpretation of design, performance, and standards relevant to the electrical industry in the form of product designs released to production in manufacturing settings
Effective project management skills
Ability to interact and work effectively to achieve common goals with other departments including supply chain, operations, manufacturing, sales, and marketing
Process improvement and data analytical skills preferred
