Senior Community Health Nurse

Role Overview

• Deliver public health services across multiple program areas including School Health, Family Planning, STI, Immunizations, RW, TB, and FBCCEDP
• Provide direct client care, health education, and case management
• Administer age-appropriate vaccines to children and adults
• Conduct immunization outreach and education in community settings
• Maintain accurate vaccine inventory and documentation in Florida SHOTS
• Perform health screenings (vision, hearing)
• Conduct STI screenings, treatment, education and follow-up
• Provide contraceptive counseling and FP services
• Administer TB tests and interpret results
• Provide nursing support for clients living with HIV/AIDS
• Educate clients on cancer prevention and early detection

Requirements

• Must be licensed in the State of Florida as a Registered Nurse
• Valid Florida Driver’s License
• Bilingual (especially Spanish)
• 1-3 years nursing experience
• Experience in Case Management
