Control the movement of materials, records and parts needed for various programs
Perform manual, clerical, and data entry/analysis tasks related to receiving, movement, storage, inventory tracking, disbursement, packaging and shipping
Record information regarding materials received and shipped in the department computer system
Participate in inventory cycle counting process, enter and track data in spreadsheets and the company MRP system, analyze data for problems and report those problems to the Logistics Manager
Package and handle materials within company guidelines
Ensure all materials requiring inspection are moved to the proper locations
Separate and move materials, equipment and supplies to/from stores, warehouses, departments, and manufacturing areas
Verify inspection stamps, signatures, quantities and acceptance tags or labels post-inspection
Work independently in a warehouse environment
Provide customer service by interacting with Planners, Buyers, Engineering and Management.
Requirements
Bachelor’s Degree and a minimum of 2 years of prior related Logistics experience
Graduate Degree or equivalent with 0 to 2 years of prior related experience
In lieu of a degree, minimum of 6 years of prior related experience
Experience in HazMat/explosives handling, packaging and shipping a plus
Excellent verbal and written communications skills are a plus
Experience with MRP systems or Oracle a plus
Good communication and interpersonal skills with a hands-on approach to process improvements.
