Directs the development and implementation of activities in production to meet goals for quality, cost, and efficiency
Manages operations including manufacturing, planning, engineering, testing, quality, and logistics
Oversees procedures, budgets, capital expenditures, and labor
Ensures compliance with legal and safety standards
Engages in the development of their team’s aircraft schedules and metrics
Builds a strong understanding of metric data to support sound operational decision-making
Reviews aircraft technical information and manages the execution of technical tasks to ensure safety, accuracy, quality, and adherence to budgetary and staffing requirements
Provides direction and coordination of all manufacturing operations
Contributes to the establishment and adherence to operational policies and procedures
Achieves company goals for production/sales in a timely, cost-effective, and efficient manner
Assists in the planning and staffing of Manufacturing Operations
Assists in efforts to maintain a clean, safe environment for all employees
Represents Manufacturing Operations in meetings, both internal and external
Ensures compliance with OSHA/EPA standards and all legal requirements
Complies with and enforces L-3 policies and Ethics codes
Reviews existing and potential equipment requirements for manufacturing
Must be able to work any shift, weekends, and overtime as required
Performs additional duties as assigned.
Requirements
Bachelor’s Degree with a minimum of 4 years prior relevant experience
In lieu of a degree, minimum of 8 years of prior related experience
Minimum 6 months experience leading and managing the execution of processes, projects, tactics, and employees within a team
Minimum 6 months experience with project management metrics like Earned Value Management methodology that measures the progress and performance of a project
Must be a U.S. citizen.
Experience on G550 platform, preferably with a focus on complex mechanical and avionics systems
