A Postdoctoral position is available in the lab of Dr Kevin Myant to carry out a collaborative project to test and develop a novel therapeutic for the treatment of colorectal cancer.
The project, sponsored by the industry partner Trogenix, is a collaboration with Prof Steven Pollard and aims to test the applicability to enhancer driven cell targeting in metastatic disease.
The project will use patient derived human organoid models to determine how cancer cells respond to these therapies providing proof-of-principle of the applicability of this approach.
Requirements
Awarded, or soon-to-be-awarded, PhD in cancer biology or a related biomedical field.
Previous experience working with organoid culture systems.
Previous experience of contributions to translational research projects.
Ability to communicate complex information clearly.
