You’ll stay ahead of emerging tech trends and social tools, turning fresh insights into creative ideas that keep Web Summit at the forefront of the global tech conversation.
Act as the voice of the brand by monitoring social channels and promptly responding to comments, direct messages, and mentions with a professional and friendly tone.
Manage user-generated content (UGC) and flag any negative or sensitive comments for the Social Media Manager.
Requirements
Education in marketing communications, or equivalent work experience.
0-2 years of professional experience, which can include internships, co-ops, or academic projects focused on social media management.
Knowledge of social media platforms, including their features, best practices, and limitations.
Familiarity with a social media scheduling platform (e.g., Buffer, Hootsuite, Sprout Social) and basic photo/video editing apps (e.g., Canva, Adobe Express).
Excellent written and verbal communication skills with a strong attention to detail and ability to adapt tone for different platforms.
A strong eye for visually appealing content and the ability to think creatively about how to translate brand messaging into engaging social posts.
Proactive, self-starter who can manage multiple tasks simultaneously and thrive in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
A desire to learn analytics and use data to inform content decisions.
Ability to collaborate effectively with internal teams (e.g., Design, Product, Sales).
Understanding of best practices for photography and video.
Ability to speak and understand Portuguese is nice to have.
