Interpret legal documents to determine tax liability and compliance
Tax Planning, Accounting, Research, Compliance, and Audit Defense
Serve as principal contact on projects with governmental officials, outside counsel, and business partners
Responsible for ensuring timely filing of tax returns and accurate accounting reserves
Serve as liaison between SSC and subsidiary businesses in the US and internationally
Participation on cross-functional teams as a subject-matter expert
Coaching and mentoring of associates in the department
Requirements
Must be eighteen years of age or older.
Must be legally permitted to work in the United States.
CPA, CMI, or JD Preferred
MACc, MBA or MTAX Preferred
3-5 years Experience Preferred
Experience in tax compliance, audit, research, and accounting.
Demonstrate technical tax skills appropriate for the years of experience in the one or more tax disciplines.
Demonstrate leadership and interpersonal skills, including the ability to manage and implement multiple complex projects, people management, and communications to both technical and non-technical audiences.
