Support the analysis and interpretation of laws, regulations and standards applicable to the company or a specific situation by identifying legal requirements and potential implications, in order to protect the company's interests and ensure legal compliance, helping to avoid litigation, regulatory sanctions and other legal problems.
Assist in drafting legal opinions of varied nature and intermediate complexity by identifying the key legal issues to be addressed in the opinion, based on analysis of the facts and the appropriate application of relevant legislation and case law, to ensure protection of the company and its employees from a legal and regulatory standpoint.
Provide legal assistance to requesting departments by understanding their needs and conducting research, in order to support those areas in making informed decisions, mitigating risks and ensuring compliance with applicable labor, consumer, civil, regulatory, criminal, data protection (LGPD) and compliance laws.
Support the preparation of responses to official letters, notices and complaints filed with consumer protection agencies, Reclame Aqui and the Ombudsman by coordinating with technical departments to provide precise, well‑substantiated responses, in order to avoid fines and ensure the company's compliance with the law.
Assist in drafting contracts by clearly specifying the obligations of each party involved, such as payment obligations, delivery of products or services, guarantees and legal liabilities, to ensure that all parties have a clear understanding of their rights, responsibilities and contractual obligations.
Support the review of contracts or proposed terms through a thorough analysis of key clauses, parties’ obligations, commercial conditions and any potential risks, to ensure the contract complies with all applicable laws, regulations and standards at both local and international levels.
Monitor court proceedings by carefully tracking legal deadlines and procedural schedules in order to protect the company’s interests and minimize litigation risks.
Support the management of corporate matters by identifying and handling risks associated with the company’s corporate structure, including legal, financial and operational issues, to ensure legal compliance, promote transparency and protect the interests of the company and its partners or shareholders.
Support the management of intellectual property (IP) matters by taking measures to legally protect the company’s IP assets, addressing legal, financial and operational aspects, in order to safeguard the company’s intangible assets such as patents, trademarks, copyrights and trade secrets.
Monitor mergers and acquisitions (M&A) processes to prevent legal and regulatory non‑compliance by taking a proactive approach to M&A matters, aiming to minimize the risk of non‑compliance and ensure the transaction’s compliance and success.
Ensure effective communication with external law firms by providing the data and/or information necessary for them to perform their work efficiently and accurately, in order to ensure that all deliverables are aligned with the organization’s needs.
Perform other related professional duties inherent to the role as required by the area, through training, professional development and guidance from the immediate supervisor, to ensure continuous professional growth.
Requirements
Law degree (LL.B. or equivalent)
Active registration with the Bar Association (OAB) is required
Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office
Knowledge of the Brazilian General Data Protection Law (LGPD), the Consumer Protection Code and Civil Law
Professional experience in the legal area with civil law cases
