Support Wealthsimple’s Enterprise AML Program by managing policy, monitoring effectiveness, and reporting on the health of the program.
Conduct Quality Control and Program Effectiveness Testing, including the Internal Audit Function.
Identify opportunities for and execute operational improvements.
Manage Audit Management and Enterprise Risk Assessment.
Define the rules and standards to ensure compliance with the law and drive Policy Updates and Procedural Updates.
Oversee AML enablement function and work with product, design, engineering, and regulatory teams to understand regulatory requirements and infrastructure gaps.
Conduct Product Risk Assessments and ensure coverage as products are built and improved.
Requirements
5+ years of experience implementing and managing AML programs, projects, systems, or products.
Strong familiarity with Canadian AML legislation and regulations
Strong attention to detail and documentation skills
Strong analytical, research, and investigative skills
Ability to understand and distill complex content into a clear and concise narrative and communicate it with audiences at all levels
Appropriately assess risk/reward relationships when making decisions
Ability to take ownership and lead projects with a proactive (reactive, when appropriate) approach and able to independently drive initiatives to conclusions
Ability to perform well in a high pressure, time-sensitive environment
