About this role
Role Overview
Responsibilities in the area of shipboard utility systems, including heating systems, fresh water systems (including generation), wastewater systems (including treatment), bilge, ballast and firefighting systems, special fire-extinguishing systems (gas, water mist, sprinklers, foam, monitors) and compressed air systems
Development of technical concepts and preparation of specifications for approval and procurement processes
Sizing and calculations of ship operational systems
Creation and maintenance of schematic piping and instrumentation diagrams based on construction specifications and classification society rules, in cooperation with our product design team
Technical coordination with customers and suppliers, evaluation of bids and preparation of decision proposals
Technical risk and cost assessments
Collaboration with other design departments and manufacturing
Requirements
Completed degree in engineering or a natural science, or a certified technician qualification (m/f/d)
Professional experience in the field and experience with integration in shipbuilding desirable
Experience using CAD software for schematic creation and good MS Office skills
Good English skills, both written and spoken, in the technical field
Confident presence, ability to work independently, assertiveness, and strong communication and team skills
