- Contributes to SRE knowledge documentation
Requirements
- Hands-on experience across most SRE practices
- Good understanding of how to observe distributed systems and their dependencies
- How to automate recovery to protect service levels
- On-call support during incidents
- Process improvements through experience and knowledge
- Informal guidance to junior staff
- Can create monitoring queries and establish service level baselines
- Support senior engineers during incidents
- Contributions during post-mortems and RCAs
- Participate in disaster recovery tests
- Implement automation and execute code in production
- Advanced hands-on experience of DevOps practices (monitoring, virtual networks, cloud storage, containers and orchestration, CI/CD, configuration management, securing cloud applications)
- Can participate on-call to assist in the recovery of Major Incidents
- Create and/or present RCAs (executive summary, timeline, detailed impact statement, follow-on actions, and residual risks)
- Can write advanced automation scripts for incident response
