About this role
Role Overview
- Maintain and develop entity capital models, working across all risk categories
- Focus on the Igloo internal model for Lloyd’s syndicate S4000 and the Standard Formula for Ireland
- Support the validation process to Lloyd’s, liaising with external consulting actuaries
- Contribute to model use, including presenting analysis on reinsurance
- Help develop investment risk modelling to support the Group investment risk framework
- Keep abreast of developments in capital modelling and risk fields
- Liaise with the profession on market and planning issues
Requirements
- Experience in a general insurance actuarial role or equivalent
- Desire to build a career as a General Insurance actuary
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to produce clear, well‑structured reports
- Exceptional attention to detail
- Background in capital model development
- Open, innovative and inclusive approach to work, contributing positively to team culture and problem‑solving
- Experience using Igloo software (desirable)
- Ability to present actuarial findings and insights to stakeholders (desirable)
