Managing internal communications between benefits, payroll and accounting departments
Review and audit insurance carrier invoices to be reconciled with client employer practices
Verifies the calculation of monthly premium statements for insurance policies and administer payments to various insurance carriers on a monthly basis
Track and assist in resolving billing discrepancies
Serve as a backup to processes including payroll, pay calculations, and reporting
Assist with the bi-weekly general ledger entries, updates and report reconciliations
Tracking and handling special billing situations and billing discrepancies
Assist with audits to ensure data integrity
Work closely with manager to improve accuracy and standards of billing processes
Prepare reporting of necessary payroll adjustments and work with payroll to process them
May assist with researching benefit processes/issues (i.e. vendor files, open enrollment, and benefit plan changes)
May prepare and maintain standard and ad hoc reports and queries
Other duties as assigned
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or years of experience equivalent to degree
Five or more years of labor and payroll accounting and processing experience
Experience in general ledger accounting and account reconciliations preferred
Experience working with general accounting principles
Experience with Government Travel Regulations is a plus
Experience working with Costpoint and Deltek Time & Expense a plus

Must be able to obtain and maintain a National Agency Check, which includes U.S. citizenship or U.S. naturalization.
Valid U.S. Driver’s License required.
