About this role
Role Overview
Serve as the daily operational lead for the DAEP campus and all DAEP-assigned support staff.
Monitor student attendance, engagement, and progress within DAEP and follow up promptly on concerns.
Oversee and support DAEP teachers to ensure program expectations, instructional consistency, and behavior requirements are being met.
Input and maintain accurate PEIMS data related to DAEP placements, student records, and reporting requirements.
Respond to parent concerns regarding DAEP requirements, attendance, progress, and behavior expectations.
Support the Behavior Manager with behavior investigations, hearings, documentation, and communication.
Assist in maintaining compliance with Texas Education Code Chapter 37, Stride/TVAH policies, and federal/state requirements.
Collaborate with teachers, counselors, social workers, IT, and administrators to support student success.
Maintain and update DAEP trackers, documentation, and reporting systems.
Directly supervises 30+ Full-time Equivalent (FTE) regular employees and/or contractors.
Requirements
Two (2) years of previous experience supporting student behavior, interventions, or alternative education
Two (2) years of formal management experience
Strong communication and conflict-resolution skills with parents and students
Strong multi-tasking and prioritizing skills to oversee multiple workflows, staff members, and student needs in a virtual environment
Knowledge of PEIMS coding or willingness to learn
High attention to detail and accuracy in data management
Commitment to student success, equity, and maintaining a positive behavior support framework.
Proficiency in Office 365 Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint.
Ability to travel 20% of the time
Ability to clear required background check
Master’s degree (Desired Qualification)
