Role Overview
**Summary of Role ****The Finance Business Partner is an integral part of the overall Commercial and Financial business partnering support to the business. Working with the Commercial Financial Director and Business Line and Operational Leads, the role will support the global business leads in reporting, analysing and interpreting financial and operational performance metrics to inform company performance, growth, ambition and strategy. The role will coordinate forecasting, budgeting and planning. The role will also enable an efficient and effective process and control environment. Timely reporting and analysis will be a key output of the role to support decision making and enhance operational performance.****This is a 12-month fixed-term contract.******Key Responsibilities **Performance Monitoring and Reporting
- Monitor and track financial and KPI performance, providing variance analysis and commentary, identifying discrepancies and appropriate actions in response.
- Work closely with the Group finance function and business to develop efficient reporting tools and KPIs that support strategic goals.
- Work closely with the finance team to ensure accuracy of financial data used and reported by the business.
- Consolidate and check the consistency of data used.
- Oversee and review monthly revenue recognition calculations and project performance/status reviews.
- Compile monthly management reporting packs, providing analysis and commentary on results and outlook.
- Support and monitor company working capital objectives and reporting requirements.
- Use all management information platforms to provide management with insights into business performance.
- Support the business in cost control.
Financial Planning, Budgeting and Forecasting
- Coordinate the planning of the annual and quarterly budgeting and forecasting processes.
- Provide input and insight into assumptions for budgeting and forecasting.
- Collaborate with business leads and operations to gather inputs, consolidate data, and present reports and analysis for review to the Commercial Financial Director and responsible business leads.
- Give feedback on budgets and forecasts and advise the Commercial Finance Director on budget decisions.
Commercial and Financial Strategic Support to Business Lines / Commercial Finance Director
- Support the development of strategic initiatives and investments.
- Contribute to the process of developing and monitoring annual pricing calculations and pricing strategies.
- Work closely with the business to provide financial and commercial input into proposals and project scoping.
- Monitor and support adherence to financial policies, regulatory requirements, work procedures, and maintenance of financial and operational data integrity.
- Monitor current financial and operational processes and systems to identify areas for improvement and share best practices to enhance process efficiency and data accuracy.
- Support, monitor and actively manage internal control requirements related to bidding, recruitment, approvals, and reporting.
- Support acquisition activities and business integrations.
Requirements
Key Requirements
- Experience working in a Finance Business Partner role highly desirable
- Leadership and management skills.
- Conceptual thinker with the ability to understand the key operational processes of Anthesis and the main drivers of cost and quality.
- Strong understanding of operational processes and the ability to discuss operations with Business and Service Leaders.
- Extensive experience and expertise with IT reporting systems, including Netsuite.
- Outstanding communication skills, enabling effective representation of the controlling entity to the Business Line Lead/Management and the Commercial and Financial Director.
- Strong awareness of internal client needs and the ability to meet them effectively.
- Ability to work in a demanding and rapidly changing internal environment.
