Manage the editorial processing of incoming manuscripts for print and digital products
Select, commission and coordinate external service providers
Provide subject-matter and content-related coordination with authors — including solution-oriented support
Ensure quality, schedule and cost targets are met
Develop solutions when project plans deviate
Provide regular project status reports to internal committees
Requirements
Degree in a technical field (e.g., metallurgical engineering, electrical engineering, automotive engineering, civil engineering, mechanical engineering, mechatronics) or a technical vocational qualification with further training (e.g., state-certified technician)
Strong project management and organizational skills
Efficient, goal-oriented working style with confident use of digital tools and AI-assisted software
Interest in educational topics and willingness to familiarize yourself with new subject matter
Confident use of CMS, MS Office and AI applications for structured information processing
Didactic sensitivity for text and illustrations as well as very good spelling and grammar
Team player with enjoyment in collaborating with network partners
Willingness to travel for one
to multi-day author meetings
High motivation and eagerness to learn for entry into the editorial field
