Evolve and develop brand identity: drive the creation of new brand assets, expand the visual system (typography, colors, illustrations, iconography, photo style) and ensure brand consistency across all touchpoints — from the App Store to social media and PR materials.
Shape creative strategy and direction: set the visual bar and creative direction for the team, develop campaign concepts and major brand initiatives, test new formats and approaches.
Work on organic channel strategy: collaborate with the team to define the visual approach for SMM, PR, and core brand communications, adapt brand language to each channel's specifics, and ensure brand recognizability in the organic space.
Manage operations: plan team resources, own tasks and workstreams, prioritize the brand backlog, build processes for working with stakeholders (marketing, product, PR, growth), and ensure timely delivery of quality results.
Mentor and develop designers: conduct reviews, provide constructive feedback, identify growth areas for each team member, build a culture of strong design within the team, and help people grow professionally.
Optimize design processes: create and maintain templates, implement automations, reduce time from idea to finished asset, build a system where the team works faster without sacrificing quality.
Requirements
5+ years of experience in brand design, including 2+ years in a managerial or lead role.
A strong portfolio demonstrating work with brand systems, visual identity, campaign design, and various media (digital, print, motion).
Experience building brand guidelines from scratch or leading a significant rebrand of an existing brand.
Strategic thinking: you understand how visual design impacts brand positioning and business metrics.
Leadership experience — you know how to build a team, set goals, give feedback, and inspire.
Proficiency in Figma and Adobe Creative Suite; understanding of motion design.
Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment where you need to balance quality and speed.
Excellent communication skills: you can advocate for design decisions in front of stakeholders and translate business goals into visual solutions.
Understanding of the US market and a strong sense of brand tonality for an American audience.
