About this role
Role Overview
Designing and implementing daily procedures and reviewing/assessing activities against internal control standards.
Directing and participating in the risk and compliance education of the organization, ensuring ongoing and follow up education including regulations, policies, procedures and trends.
Developing, initiating and revising policies and procedures for the general operation of the business unit's compliance program and its related activities.
Identifying potential risk and compliance vulnerabilities; developing corresponding corrective action plans for resolution of these issues and providing guidance for use in future situations.
Supporting IAAS audits and internal reviews, including audit preparation, assisting the CISM team during the audit, and actively participating in issue remediation and certification.
Assisting the CISM team related to periodic audit questions and issues that may arise in daily work responsibilities.
Mentoring and coaching other team members on compliance standards and applying them effectively as per business practices.
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree, preferably in Accounting, Finance, Audit, Risk Management, Business, Logistics or a related field.
Strong ability to collaborate and partner across peers and leadership
Strong understanding of Caterpillar’s Ethics & Compliance Program, Our Values in Action, and the Enterprise Policies and Procedures
Background/experience in risk management
Strong planning and organizational skills
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
Sound decision making skills and proactive problem-solving abilities.
